Everything Announced At Apple TV’s Press Day

At Apple TV's Press Day, the streaming platform has announced several brand-new movies and television shows, as well as new trailers for upcoming shows such as Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. With 2026 shaping up to be a great year for both film and television, Apple TV is raising the stakes with their upcoming programming slate.  


Here’s everything that was revealed at the Apple TV Press Day:


Monarch: Legacy of Monsters

Ahead of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2’s release on February 27th, Apple revealed the official trailer for the 10-episode-long second season. 


Season 2 will pick up with the fate of Monarch, and the world, hanging in the balance. It will follow Kong and Godzilla, return us back to Skull Island, and feature a new enigmatic Titan X. 


Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is executive produced by Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Chris Black, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, Andrew Colville, Hiro Matsuoka, and Takemasa Arita.


The series stars Wyatt Russell, Kurt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. 

Outcome

Apple Original Films unveiled a first look at Jonah Hill’s dark comedy, Outcome, which will exclusively be streaming on Apple TV on April 10, 2026. 


Outcome follows Reef Hawk, a beloved Hollywood actor who must explore the depths of his hidden demons once he’s extorted by a mysterious video that could ruin his entire career. He embarks on a soul-searching journey, making amends to people he could’ve wronged in hopes of discovering the blackmailer. 


Jonah Hill will be directing, with Hill and Ezra Woods as the screenwriters. Matt Dines, Alison Goodwin and Hill Woods will be producing, with Adam Merims executive producing. 


Outcome stars Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Hill Woods, Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, Ivy Wolk and more. 


Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed 

David J. Rosen brings a new comedic thriller, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, to Apple TV, which will be released on May 20, 2026. 


Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows newly divorced mom, Paula, as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of conspiracy after believing she’s witnessed a crime. While performing her own investigation, she grapples with a custody battle and an identity crisis. 


Rosen will also be writing and executive producing the show alongside David Gordon Green, who will also be directing. Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon and Bard Dorros are also executive producing.  


Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed stars Tatiana Maslany, Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hill, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg, Nola Wallace and Dolly De Leon. 

Lucky

We finally got a release date, first-look images and a teaser trailer for Lucky, which will be exclusively streaming on Apple TV on July 15, 2026. 


Lucky follows Lucky, a con artist on the run after a multi-million-dollar heist goes wrong. Lucky must fight for her life and find a way out while being pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss. 


The series is showrun, written and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Cassie Pappas. Lucky is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Jonathan van Tulleken. 


Lucky stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins, Jr. and William Fichtner. 


Imperfect Women

Imperfect Women, a psychological thriller starring Elisabeth Moss, will be streaming on March 18, 2026. The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, and Wilson Bethel.


Imperfect Women explores a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship between three women. 


Annie Weisman serves as showrunner, along with Elisabeth Moss, Lindsey McManus, Lesli Linka, Araminta Hall and Kay Oyegun. 


The Dink

Apple's new comedy movie, The Dink, will be streaming on July 24, 2026. It stars Jake Johnson, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Ben Stiller, Patton Oswalt, Chloe Fineman, Chris Parnell, Aaron Chen, and Andy Roddick.


The Dink follows washed-up former tennis prodigy Dusty Boyd, who has been reduced to training unruly children at his father Chuck’s suburban country club. Things get complicated when Dusty finds himself enjoying pickleball, something his father has a vendetta against.


The Dink is directed by Josh Greenbaum, with Sean Clements penning the script. The film is produced by Ben Stiller, John Lesher, Rob Paris, Mike Witherill and Jake Johnson.


Way of the Warrior Kid

Apple has revealed the first look at the new movie Way of the Warrior Kid, which is set to premiere November 20. The movie stars Chris Pratt, Jude Hill, Linda Cardellini, Levi McConaughey, Ava Torres, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, and Parker Young.


Way of the Warrior Kid follows Marc, a good kid who’s bullied by his classmates and feels like he’s behind in everything, from academics to P.E. to just making friends. His life changes when his injured Uncle Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer and recuperate with Marc and his mom, Sarah.


Way of the Warrior Kid is directed by McG, aka Joseph McGinty Nichol. It is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, McG, Mary Viola, Chris Pratt, Ben Everard, Jocko Willink, and Bruce Wayne Gillies.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles

The teaser trailer for Margo’s Got Money Troubles has finally been released. The series is set to premiere April 15 on Apple TV, and stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, Lindsey Normington, Marcia Gay Harden, and Nicole Kidman.


Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a comedic family drama that follows Margo, recent college dropout and aspiring writer who is forced to survive poverty with a baby.


The series is produced by David E. Kelley, alongside Eva Anderson, Dearbhla Walsh, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Tinker, Brittany Kahan Ward, Per Saari, Rufi Thorpe, Boo Killebrew, and Dakota Fanning. Dearbhla Walsh, Kate Herron, and Alice Seabright will direct the series.


Matchbox The Movie

Apple has announced the new Mattel toys inspired action film, Matchbox The Movie with first look images. The movie, starring John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, and Teyonah Parris, will premiere October 9 on Apple TV.


Matchbox The Movie follows a group of friends whose lives are upended when their former leader, undercover CIA agent Sean (John Cena), returns and gets them involved in a world saving international pursuit.


The movie is directed by Sam Hargrave and written by David Coggeshall, with David Ellison and Dana Goldberg serving as producers.



Cape Fear

The new Cape Fear remake at Apple TV finally has a date! The series will premiere June 5 on Apple TV. Cape Fear stars powerhouses such as Javier Bardem, Patrick Wilson, and Amy Adams.


Happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) find themselves in the middle of a storm when the criminal they put behind the bars gets out and seeks vengeance.


Morten Tyldum, S.J. Clarkson, Amanda Marsalis, and Reed Morano will serve as directors. Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg on board as executive producers.


Widow's Bay

Debuting on April 29th and running through June 17th is Widow's Bay, a 10-episode horror-comedy series starring Matthew Rhys as Tom Loftis, the hapless mayor of a struggling New England island community. Tom's attempts to turn his community into a tourist location are challenged, however, by increasingly strange events occurring on the island.


Along with starring in the series, Matthew Rhys will be executive producing alongside Emmy Award winner Hiro Murai, Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, and series creator/showrunner Katie Dippold. Murai will be directing a handful of episodes, and will be joined by fellow directors Ti West, Sam Donovan and Andrew DeYoung.


Rhys is joined in Widow's Bay by a strong supporting cast that includes Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey.


Mayday

Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh, two extremely different actors with very different backgrounds, will team up on September 4th for the buddy spy comedy Mayday. Reynolds plays a Navy pilot during the Cold War who gets stuck behind enemy lines. He runs into an ex-Soviet KGB agent, playing by Branagh, and together they embark on a genre-bending adventure.


Mayday is written, produced, and directed by John Francis Daly and Jonathan Goldstein. Also serving in a producer role are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger from Skydance Media, and Maximum Effort's Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau. Executive producing credits belong to Reynolds, George Dewy, and John G. Scotti.


Along with Reynolds and Branagh, Mayday boasts a slew of other talent, including Marcin Dorocinski, Maria Bakalova and David Morse.


Apple TV has been proving itself a powerhouse in the realm of engaging series and movies, and these new offerings suggest the company is willing to continue with big swings and unique programming. Keep an eye out for these titles in 2026, because if Apple TV's track record is anything to go by, they will be nothing if not entertaining.
