  • EXCLUSIVE: Max Minghella Is Being Eyed To Join The Cast Of DC Studios’ ‘Clayface’

    Sources tell Nexus Point News that Max Minghella is being eyed for the role of John in DC Studios’ Clayface . As reported by Nexus Point News, the third protagonist of the film is John, a detective and fiancé to Caitlin Bates, who’s suspicious of his fiancée’s relationship with Matt Hagen/Clayface. Naomi Ackie ( Blink Twice , Mickey 17 ) was recently announced to have been eyed for the role of Caitlin, which NPN has learned she has been officially offered and is in talks for. Caitlin serves as the deuteragonist of the film and Matt Hagen’s love interest and doctor. Hagen is set to be portrayed by Tom Rhys Harries ( White Lines , Suspicion ). Max Minghella is best known for his role as Divya Narendra in The Social Network . His other credits include The Handmaid’s Tale , Horns , and Spiral . Additionally, Minghella will be joining the cast of season 4 of Industry . Minghella is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content, Jackoway Austen, and Lede. In the comics, Hagen debuted in Detective Comics  #298 in 1961 and was created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff. Hagen was originally a treasure hunter who transformed into Clayface after an encounter with protoplasm. Karlo debuted in Detective Comics #40 in 1940 and was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. In the Golden Age, Karlo was a disgraced actor who donned the costume of a character he portrayed known as Clayface and sought to murder the crew and cast of the remake of a film he once starred in. Clayface was written by Mike Flanagan ( The Haunting of Hill House ) and will be directed by James Watkins ( Speak No Evil ). The film will be co-produced by DC Studios and Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho, as the film was originally in development as a spin-off to The Batman . Production is set to begin in September and continue through October in the UK. DC Studios’ Clayface  is set to release on September 11, 2026.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Courtney B. Vance Joins The Cast Of ‘Presumed Innocent’ Season 2

    Sources tell Nexus Point News that Courtney B. Vance has joined the cast of the second season of Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent. Vance joins Rachel Brosnahan who is set to lead this upcoming season of the anthology series. As announced by Deadline today, Jack Reynor has been added to the cast as well. Season 2 will adapt Jo Murray’s upcoming legal thriller Dissection of a Murder  which follows Leila Reynolds (Brosnahan) who is assigned her first murder case: a high profile case revolving around the murder of a judge. Season 1 starred Jake Gyllenhaal as prosecutor Rusty Sabich, who becomes a suspect in the murder of a colleague with whom he was having an affair with. Presumed Innocent was created by and showman by David E. Kelley. J.J. Abrams serves as an executive producer with Kelley. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Scott Turow which was released in 1987. The novel was originally adapted into the 1990 feature film of the same name, starring Harrison Ford as Sabich. Vance is a Tony and Emmy award winning actor who made his Broadway debut in August Wilson’s Fences . On screen, he is best known for his roles in Hamburger Hill , The Preacher’s Wife , and Isle of Dogs . Vance can next be seen as Zeus in the upcoming season of Percy Jackson & the Olympians , a role he is taking over from the late Lance Reddick. Presumed Innocent season 2 is set to begin production this December.

  • EXCLUSIVE: ‘Monster’ Season 4 Is In Development And Set To Adapt The Lizzie Borden Murders

    Prior to the release of season 3 of Monster , Ryan Murphy has already begun developing season 4 for Netflix. Sources tell Nexus Point News that Monster  season 4 is set to adapt the Lizzie Borden murders and will center on Borden, her father, stepmother, and the family’s housekeeper. Showrunner and executive producer, Ian Brennan, will return to write the next season with Murphy. Borden was the suspected killer of her father and stepmother, Andrew and Abby Borden’s murders. The murders occured on August 4, 1892 in Fall River, Massachusetts. Borden was tried for the crimes and later acquitted. She went on to live the rest of her life free until her death in 1927.  The series first aired in 2022 and followed Jeffrey Dahmer. Season 1 of Monster  titled, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story , starred Evan Peters in the titular role and Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer’s neighbor. Season 2 titled, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story , starred Cooper Koch as Erik and Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Lyle. Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny portray their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. Season 3 which is titled, Monster: The Original Monster  is set to follow Ed Gein. Charlie Hunnam portrays Gein and will be joined by Laurie Metcalf as Augusta Gein, Tom Hollander as Alfred Hitchcock, Olivia Williams as Alma Reville, and Suzanna Son in an undisclosed role. Production on Monster season 4 is set to begin in the Fall in Los Angeles.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Casting Details Reveal DC’s ‘Lanterns’ Will Explore Hal Jordan’s Childhood

    As DC Studios’ Lanterns enters its final weeks of shooting, sources tell Nexus Point News that the series is set to feature flashbacks to Green Lantern Hal Jordan’s childhood. As announced, Lanterns has cast older and younger versions of John Stewart’s parents. In addition, casting was underway for John’s brothers and a child version of John which all point to flashbacks depicting John’s upbringing and family life. Missing from these announcements was news of Hal’s family. Casting details reveal that Hal’s parents, Martin and Jessica Jordan, are being cast for the series as well. Spoilers ahead... Martin is described as handsome, confident, charming, but hides a deep sadness. Similar to the comics, he’s a pilot and hero to young Hal, who he has a very close relationship to. The series is also confirmed to depict the death of Martin Jordan and the influence it has on Hal as a child. Jessica is described as being emotionless after the death of her husband and she is being cast for a funeral scene. In addition, a child version of Hal is being cast for multiple scenes. He’s described as defiant, spirited, brave, and a rule breaker who follows in his father’s footsteps. Lanterns is slated to be the fourth project in the DC Universe and the third series. Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre lead the series as Hal Jordan and John Stewart, respectively. They are joined by Kelly Macdonald and Nathan Fillion as Kerry and Guy Gardner, respectively. Other members of the cast include, Garret Dillahunt, William Macon, the series' antagonist, Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, Poorna Jagannathan, Jason Ritter, and Paul Ben-Victor. Nicole Ari Parker portrays Bernadette Stewart, John’s mother, and Sherman Augustus portrays John Stewart Sr, John’s father. Jasmine Cephas Jones and J. Alphonse Nicholson portray John’s parents in flashbacks. The series was developed and produced by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King. Mundy serves as the series’ showrunner. Lanterns will premiere in early 2026 on HBO as part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson Is In Talks To Portray Balrog In ‘Street Fighter’

    UPDATE on June 24: 50 Cent confirmed this report. The cast of Street Fighter  continues to expand as sources tell Nexus Point News that Curtis Jackson is in talks to portray Balrog. Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, will potentially portray the disgraced boxer, Balrog, who first made his debut in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior . Hailing from the slums of Las Vegas, Nevada. he rose through the ranks as a ruthless prizefighter that clawed his way to fame with sheer brutality and determination. However, Balrog's greed and overall sadistic nature ultimately led him down a dark path of cheating and dirty tactics in the ring which lead to severe injuries and even death among his opponents, along with a steadfast ban from the world of professional boxing. This fall from grace made him a perfect recruit for the villainous terrorist organization Shadaloo, where he became the brutal enforcer of its leader, M. Bison. The multi-hyphenate rapper-actor-producer, began his music career in 1996 and released his debut studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2003. As an actor, he made his debut in the film of the same name of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’  which incorporated elements of his life. In addition, he’s best known for his roles in Home of the Brave , Righteous Kill , and most notably, Power , which he executive produces. Jackson has gone on to produce all the spin offs of the Power  universe. Street Fighter  is a series of fighting games, with the first installment being released in 1987. The games center around a global fighting tournament organized by M. Bison, the leader of the evil organization Shadaloo. The latest installment in the game, Street Fighter 6 , was released in 2023 and won “Best Fighting Game” at the 2023 Game Awards. Street Fighter is set to be directed by Kitao Sakurai ( Bad Trip ) and the latest draft was written by Dalan Musson ( Captain America: Brave New World ). Noah Centineo and Andrew Koji are set to star as Ken and Ryu, respectively. Jason Momoa will portray Blanka, Roman Reigns will portray Akuma, and Orville Peck will portray Vega. Danny and Michael Philippou were originally attached to direct the film before falling off. Legendary Pictures is developing the film with Capcom and is set to be released by Sony Pictures. The film was recently removed from Sony’s release schedule and is currently undated.

  • EXCLUSIVE: ‘Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters’ Prequel Series Greenlit At Apple With Wyatt Russell Returning

    © Apple TV Sources tell Nexus Point News that Apple TV has greenlit a prequel series to Monarch: Legacy of Monsters starring Wyatt Russell as the younger Lee Shaw, from Monarch . The series will be set during the Cold War and grapple with tensions between the United States and Russia in a world of monsters.  Joby Harold ( Obi-Wan Kenobi , Army of the Dead ) will serve as the series’ showrunner and will executive produce with his wife and producing partner Tory Tunnell through their production company Safehouse Pictures. Wyatt Russell, who stars in the series, will serve as an executive producer as well. Harold and Tunnell also served as executive producers on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters  which was developed by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. The series, like Monarch , is a part of Legendary’s Monsterverse  which began with 2014’s Godzilla . The series spinned off into Kong: Skull Island  and spawned several sequels: Godzilla: King of the Monsters , Godzilla vs. Kong , Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire , and the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: Supernova which is set to release in 2027. Russell is repped by UTA. Russell recently starred in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* as the fan-favorite character, John Walker/US Agent and will reprise the role next year in Avengers: Doomsday . Russell’s additional feature credits include Night Swim , Overlord , and 22 Jump Street . His television credits include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Black Mirror , and Under the Banner of Heaven . Russell is also set to start in Steven Spielberg’s next film for Universal. The upcoming Monarch  prequel series is set to begin production next Summer in Prague.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Emma Thompson Is In Talks to Play Drusilla in 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping'

    UPDATE 4/23: Emma Thompson has passed on the role of Drusilla in the movie. Emma Thompson is in talks to portray Drusilla Sickle in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping . Thompson would portray Drusilla an escort from the Capitol and had been going to District 12 to carry out the reaping since the 25th Hunger Games as depicted in the recently released novel, Sunrise on the Reaping . Throughout the novel, Drusilla is portrayed as a detached and unsympathetic figure, frequently clashing with other characters such as Maysilee Donner. RELATED: 'The Hunger Games' Prequel 'Sunrise On The Reaping' Sets Filming Date And Location The film adaptation is set to start shooting in July of this year in Germany. As announced at CinemaCon earlier this week by Lionsgate, Francis Lawrence is set to direct the film with Billy Ray writing the script. Brad Simpson and Nina Jacobson will be producing the film. Jacobson has served as a producer for all four films in the series and Simpson returns after producing The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes . Major characters expected to appear who are currently being cast are Maysilee, Plutarch, Effie, Caesar, and President Snow. As reported by DanielRPK, Ralph Fiennes has been offered the role of Snow and Kieran Culkin has been offered the role of Caesar Flickerman. Nexus Point News can corroborate these casting updates. DanielRPK also reported that Jesse Plemons was offered the role of Plutarch Heavensbee. Nexus Point News cannot corroborate this casting update at this time. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is set to release on November 20, 2026.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Meryl Streep In Talks To Join Greta Gerwig’s ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ Films

    Netflix’s highly anticipated The Chronicles of Narnia  film franchise is set to kick off with a film adaption of The Magician’s Nephew .  An offer has been made to Meryl Streep to portray a central character in the series: Aslan, the Great Lion. Streep is in talks to portray Aslan, who will be female in the series. Aslan in the novels is a talking lion who serves as Narnia’s guardian and a mentor to the human children. Typically portrayed as a male, Aslan was created as an allegory for Jesus by author C.S. Lewis. The Academy Award winning actress can currently be seen in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building as “Loretta Durkin.” Her most recent credits include the Apple TV+ anthology series, Extrapolations  and Adam McKay’s Netflix feature, Don’t Look Up. Streep is CAA and Gendler Kelly & Cunningham. The film, written and to be directed by Greta Gerwig, will adapt the sixth novel in the series, The Magician’s Nephew , which chronologically takes place first in the series. The novel tells the origin of Narnia and is centered on Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer who discover the magical world through Digory’s uncle’s magic. The role of Digory’s uncle, Andrew, is currently eyeing Daniel Craig, as reported by Deadline in March 2025. The novel also introduces Jadis, who goes on to become the White Witch, a role which is eyeing Charli XCX, also reported by Deadline earlier this month. The film is aiming to start shooting sometime this year with a theatrical release on Thanksgiving Day 2026, followed by a release on Netflix in December 2026.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Thor, Valkyrie, Zemo, John Walker, Namor And More To Appear In ‘Marvel Zombies’

    Marvel Studios is diving deeper into the undead with Marvel Zombies , a new animated series spinning out of the fan-favorite “What If… Zombies?!” episode from What If…? . Building on this alternate universe first shown in 2021, the show will explore a Marvel Cinematic Universe overrun by the zombie plague. Directed by Bryan Andrews, the show consists of 4 episodes. The series brings together an all-star voice cast of MCU veterans, including Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Dominique Thorne, and Iman Vellani, all reprising their iconic roles. In the What If...? episode this series springs from, the world is overrun by a quantum virus originally contracted by Janet Van Dyne in the Quantum Realm and brought back to earth by Hank Pym. As the virus overtakes the world and survivors fight back, we are introduced to the main antagonist of not only the What If...? episode, but Marvel Zombies' as well. Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff is due to be front and center in the new series as a powerful adversary. Wanda already proved in What If…? that she’s one of the most dangerous beings in this zombified reality. Her chaos magic and undead hunger make her a nearly unstoppable force. She even survived a clash with the Hulk — who, by the way, is also stomping his way into this series. Wanda will be referred as the Dead Queen in the series. Okoye serves as a secondary villain and she will be in charge of an undead army, following the Scarlet Witch's orders. Additionally, Zombie versions of Ghost, Hawkeye, Abomination, Captain Marvel, and Captain America are confirmed to be in the series. And the surprises keep coming. Sources tell Nexus Point News that Marvel Zombies will also feature appearances from John Walker, Baron Zemo, Namor, Melina Vostokoff, Thor, Valkyrie, and Black Panther. Whether they will all show up as heroic survivors or join the ranks of the infected… well, we’ll let you find out for yourself. Additionally, Scott Lang's Head (from the What If...? episode), Spider-Man, Thanos, and Blade Knight are confirmed to appear in the series. They will be joined by best friends Riri Williams, Kate Bishop, and Kamala Khan. Marvel Zombies is set to release on Disney+ October 3, 2025.

  • EXCLUSIVE: The Working Titles For Shawn Levy’s ‘Starfighter’ And Taika Waititi’s ‘Star Wars’ Film

    Star Wars productions are constantly in flux. Since the release of The Rise of Skywalker the theatrical side of a Galaxy Far, Far Away has been a bit tumultuous. There have certainly been no shortage of films announced, but The Mandalorian and Grogu aims to be the first full theatrical release since the closing of the Skywalker Saga. However, the production train isn't halting there. Director Shawn Levy's Star Wars film was given a title earlier this year, Star Wars: Starfighter . Nexus Point News has learned that Kyber Mist is the working title for this project, and Blue Mist Productions is the production name. Nexus has also learned the working title for another Star Wars project in development, Cosmic Doom . Cosmic Doom is the working title for Taika Waititiʼs long-awaited Star Wars film, and Ghost Truck 6 is the production name. The interpretation of these titles is left to your discretion, for the time being. Star Wars: Starfighter stars Ryan Gosling and is set roughly five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker , as confirmed by official Star Wars channels . Pre-production began this March at Pinewood Studios, with shooting scheduled for September through December in London. Starfighter is currently slated to arrive in theaters on Memorial Day 2027.
