My Adventures with Green Lantern was first announced in February of this year as a spin-off to Adult Swim’s My Adventures with Superman , an anime-influenced take on Superman. My Adventures with Green Lantern  will focus on the Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz who has her life upended when a power ring falls from the sky. This iteration of the character will be a high schooler who’s chosen to be the ring’s champion As reported by Knight Edge Media last week, a character description for Jessica states she will be 14-15 in the series who had a normal upbringing playing softball and hanging out with her friends Kyle and Nikki until everyone around her hits puberty and she faces bullying. The series picks up when Jessica begins high school and is described as chronically anxious, a trait that’s core to her comic counterpart. Sources tell Nexus Point News that Kyle and Nikki are confirmed to be Kyle Rayner and Nikki Jones, respectively. Other characters confirmed to appear are Alex DeWitt and Kilowog. Details and the direction of Kyle’s character are currently under wraps but he will serve as a love interest to Jessica. The series will be set in Coast City and the students will be attending Hal Jordan High School. The status of Hal Jordan in this universe is currently unknown. Similar to My Adventures with Superman ’s Sailor Moon-esque transformation, the influence will carry over to this series with Jessica sporting a Sailor Moon inspired costume. The Green Lanterns in this iteration are described as peace-keeping warrior monks rather than cops, similar to the Green Lantern who appeared in My Adventures with Superman . Nikki is described as an overly confident, goth high schooler who doesn’t care for the approval of others. Nikki is Jessica’s lifelong best friend and protective of her, sometimes overly protective. Nikki is likely an adaptation of Nicki Jones from the comics who becomes the new Jade as part of Lex Luthor’s Infinity Inc. Nicki Jones first appeared in 52  #29 in 2007 and was created by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Keith Giffen, and Chris Batista. Alex DeWitt is described as the popular girl of the school. She’s a softball star and the daughter of politicians. Alex first appeared in Green Lantern  (1990) #48 in 1994 and was created by Ron Marz and Bill Willingham. She’s known in the comics as Kyle Rayner’s first love interest and the victim of the infamous “fridging” issue where she’s brutally murdered by Major Force. Kilowog, like the other Green Lanterns, is described as a warrior monk and the last surviving Green Lantern. Kilowog served with pride and an incident in the past involving him resulted in the collapse of the Green Lanterns. Kilowog serves as a mentor to Jessica. Kilowog first appeared in Green Lantern Corps  (1986) #201 and was created by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton. Kilowog is the last surviving member of his race and lost his planet during Crisis on Infinite Earths  and was initially created to be one of the lanterns who joins Hal and John on Earth when the Corps were no longer bound by sectors. Kilowog is best known for serving as the Green Lanterns’ drill instructor and Hal’s mentor. The release date for My Adventures With Green Lantern is not yet announced.

Kaet McAnneny’s dark comedy memoir Boobs Gone Rogue chronicles her life upended by a breast cancer diagnosis. A production designer and dedicated New York City marathon trainee, Kaet suddenly finds herself navigating an entirely different kind of endurance test when cancer changes everything. Kaet Might Die is set to begin filming next month in New York. The film will be directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan( Bone Lake ), with a script penned by the writer duo Angela Gulner and Yuri Baranovsky. Production is being handled by Balcony 9 Productions, Invention Studios, and Whitewater Films, with Kaet McAnneny also serving as a producer. Emma Roberts is best known for her roles in American Horror Story , Scream Queens , and We’re the Millers , She will reunite with her Maybe I Do co-star William H. Macy, best recognized for Shameless, Fargo , and Magnolia. This project also marks a long-delayed union between Roberts and Josh Hutcherson, who were once attached to a romantic comedy that ultimately never materialized. Hutcherson is best known for The Hunger Games franchise, and has recently appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Studio . Roberts is represented by CAA and Sweeney Entertainment. Macy is represented by Independent Artist Group and Atlas Artists, while Hutcherson is represented by Gersh, TFC Management, and Hansen Jacobson.

Peacemaker  season 2, the follow-up to the now not-canon season 1 of the critically acclaimed series is currently shooting in Atlanta through Fall of this year. After fans had noticed that David Denman was following cast members of the series, @DCUleaks hinted it could be for Peacemaker on X (formerly known as Twitter). Last month, it was revealed that Denman had joined the cast as a mystery character along with Sol Rodriguez, who will be portraying Sasha Bordeaux. According to our sources, some unveiled casting descriptions reveal some details on Denman’s characters. Denman is set to play “Larry”, who’s described as being a big tough guy with an equally big heart and a true best friend. The role is part of the main cast. In addition to “Larry”, another role is being cast. A guest star role for “Red St. Wild” is being cast at the moment. They are looking for men of all ethnicities between 30-65. The character is bearded, an outdoorsman, and a hunter with a fondness for prey. It is currently unknown whether these are codenames or the characters’ actual names. It’s very likely these two characters could have been created for the season, but with the use of codenames, there is a possibility that they are characters from the comics. The description for the role of “Larry” sounds as if it can be an old friend of Peacemaker’s or possibly his neighbor. Due to the limited information available in the casting description, the possibilities of what character this could be are plentiful. Similarly, “Red St. Wild” can be either an original character or a comic character. Please note the following is just speculation, but an obscure character that shares similarity with “Red” is Adam Orion aka The Hunter. Although this obscure red headed character exists in the Legion of Super-Heroes continuity, given James Gunn’s penchant for lesser-known characters, The Hunter is a contender for who the role could be. Peacemaker  season 2 is currently shooting in Atlanta until Fall 2024. Plot details are under wraps, but the cast of the first season will return. Given Frank Grillo’s involvement in the show, it’s likely his Rick Flag Sr.will face off against Peacemaker.

In Gotham, no one can hear you scream. We have learned Andy Muschietti (It Chapters 1 &2, & The Flash) and Rodo Sayagues (Alien: Romulus) are set to write the DCU’s next Batman film, The Brave and the Bold. The new dynamic duo will be tackling one of the most anticipated titles coming out of James Gunn’s and Peter Safran’s DCU. Though there’s been plenty of rumors as of late regarding Muschietti not being attached to this project, the cowl hasn’t left his closet and is still set to direct the film. Sayagues is best known for writing Evil Dead (2013), Don’t Breathe (2016), Don’t Breathe 2 (2021), and the highly anticipated Alien: Romulus. The pairing of these two horror icons may give us a sense of the tone for DCU's Gotham. The Brave and the Bold is based on Grant Morrison’s run which ran for seven years and is primarily pulling inspiration from the “Batman and Son” storyline. “Batman and Son” introduces Damian Wayne, who is set to make his live-action debut in the film. Damian is the son of Batman and Talia Al Ghul, and the grandson of Ra’s Al Ghu. Raised by his mother to be Ra’s Al Ghul’s heir, Damian was a bloodthirsty assassin who until he met his father, was trained to kill. He assumed the Robin identity following Bruce’s death and became Robin to Dick Grayson’s Batman. The Brave and the Bold will introduce the DCU’s Batman and Robin. It’s also slated to be the introduction of the Bat Family in the DCU, so characters like Nightwing and Batgirl are likely to appear. Given Dick Grayson’s prominence in Damian’s backstory and Gunn’s love for the character, his appearance is a strong possibility. Andy Muschietti is currently working on Welcome to Derry, the Max prequel series for Stephen King’s IT franchise which is bringing back Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise. Though Muschietti has yet to commit to his next project,  we have also heard from our sources, The Brave and the Bold is looking to start production in 2025. This could set it up for a Summer 2027 release. Story is still developing
